What better way to ring in the New Year than to have a KD event for our instructors! We had volunteers from TN, AL, GA and one from all the way out there in AZ meet up at Mountain Top Range in McMinnville TN to show that while they can instruct KD they can also do it!
Many thanks to our host range! They had a New Year's Day breakfast going on for their folks and graciously allowed us to not only use their range but join in on the breakfast.
It was a chilly morning at Mountain Top but surprisingly the usual challenging winds did not make an appearance. Mountain Top also has some challenging terrain. Thanks to Wileycoyote's engineering abilities, we are able to make it work without moving the firing line which saves not only valuable time, but also helps the Shoot Boss manage high blood pressure!

How cold was it? At Evansville, the temperature with wind chill was consistently 27 degrees. Your normal winds were at Redbrush yesterday!
I think the high was a balmy 37. The absence of the wind (mostly) made it pretty okay despite the handful of snowflakes we saw. That said, I went to bed with the hand warmers still on me and working. I was comfortably warm by the time I woke up and I'm outside in a t-shirt again. I love living down here.
