It was cold by Florida standards to start the weekend at Flagler Gun and Archery Club for a 25m Appleseed event. Fortunately, we had brilliant sunshine for a rousing first strike from Glenn (FLawyer). The first redcoat target showed what work needed to be done, but we had four students with fantastic attitudes. There were two first time attendees, and two students returning from the Ladyseed conducted here in October. A second strike by John (JC/DC), and third strike by Ed (edree) gave the students new insights into the events of April 19th, 1775.
Saturday afternoon saw an AQT that gave us insights into what to work on during Sunday's instruction. Ed was also presented with his 25 event pin.
Sunday began with three out of four students hitting the shingle on the redcoat target, and all shooters having an effective range of 300 yards or better. There was some minor drama with a dog running onto the range during Stage 4 of an AQT. A great job was done by the line boss to keep everybody safe (including the dog). Pete (Heavyduty77) was a convincing enough pack leader to coax the dog away from our firing line.
We must have done great work on Sunday's instructional refresh. AQT scores drastically improved. Michael with a 194. Stacie with a 199. A great job for their first time at an Appleseed!
We had two Riflewomen qualify for the first time! Lin with a 213, and Stephanie with a 222! Congratulations to you both. You know very well what you are about.
Instructor Chris (B.C.) requalified with a 238 using his centerfire rifle.
As always, our biggest thanks to the Flagler Gun and Archery Club for their continued support.

Nice report and pics.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looked like heavyduty77 coaching on the ground wearing a pair of jungle boots.
Way to go, HUZZAH!
