Title: What front/rear sights are you using on a dedicated AR .22 LR upper?
Post by: fgrogan on April 25, 2009, 01:24:43 PM
I am looking to get  Spikes M4 .22 LR upper for attending Appleseed and general target shooting & plinking.  What iron sights are you using for the Appleseed shoots with success?

Related question, are you using one of the shorter length .22 LR magazines for the prone positions, etc?  If so, which one(s) seem to work best?

I'm just using a .22 conversion kit on my AR15, but I've had good groups with my standard A2 front sight and for the rear I have a RRA dominator mount.  It's just a standard A2 rear sight that was made for use with a EOtech, but I just need the irons.

If your using the dedicated Upper to reduce the cost of training with your centerfire AR, then use the same sighting system that you use on your centerfire upper.
