Title: Bothell, WA – AAR – 7 Dec 2024 – Half Day
Post by: Iborche on December 08, 2024, 03:23:47 AM
Project Appleseed in Washington ended the year on a high note with a short but very rewarding half day clinic for a group of local Scouts, a cherry on top of a successful year! Six youth shooters and their parents joined us at the WCW Shooting Sports range clubhouse for an introduction to firearm safety and marksmanship skills clinic. The youth were attentive, eager to learn (even more eager to shoot), and answered questions with enthusiasm! After getting everyone familiarized with the basic functions of the 10/22 rifles, shooters quickly sent rounds to accurately engage their targets, and many even rose to the challenge of Danial Morgan's Shingle and successfully hit that tiny little rectangle that looked so small through their sights.

As I told the Scouts, my own journey to marksmanship began at summer camp when I was their age, and the lessons learned, and experiences gained while I was a Scout led me to where I am today. All these young men are exactly where they need to be now, so they can become the leaders of tomorrow. The other Instructors and I all see a bright future for our country after spending our afternoons with all of you, and we hope to see you again soon.
