Three participants braved the winterseed conditions to hear our messages of liberty, heritage, and marksmanship. We had a fantastic facility with a heated classroom so most of our instruction was done inside to minimize exposure to the cold. Instructors outnumbered the participants (10 instructors & 3 participants) but several instructors took advantage of this and we had 2 instructors requalify!
Congrats to Danny, Sir Pressored, and Big John on making rifleman at a winterseed. Patches were admired by all! Danny was a first time attendee and he scored on the first day! Danny & Sir Pressored also cleared the HitsCount Target. Huzzah! Danny is very interested in joining our instructor cadre and we are anxiously awaiting his attendance at a second event so he can volunteer.
Alexandra the Great earned her red hat. Her performance was fantastic. Several other promotions were earned by members of the instructor cadre. Great job!
Red Brush Rifle Range was a fantastic host, as always. Check the calendar for future events at this range.
Pictures! Please add more if you took some.

Danny and SirPressored earn their Winterseed patches
The group photo shows everyone warm and happy at the beginning of the weekend.
This was a coooooold shoot. I neglected to ask anyone whose great idea this was because I believe it was mine. Early December in Evansville is cold, but usually not Winterseed weather. Tack on 20 degrees lower than normal and snow and ice and wind, and we had the conditions to see what kind of condition our condition was in.
The shooters all persisted and also came with their gear straightened away. This allowed us six AQTs in winterseed conditions over the weekend, which is quite productive. Good scores were had by all shooters, some are rifleman, some are knocking on the door, and some are still shooting well and are heading that way.
Although we were often the only ones out there, the large Redbrush Rifle Range allowed us our own bay, and our own classroom, and even warm, clean restrooms.
Some photos!

A great, and slightly chilly, weekend. The cold is no match for the participants and instructors, and it was great to see progress all around!
