Title: Glasgow, KY 11/2-3/2024 AAR
Post by: Jayshoneybunny on November 04, 2024, 07:31:35 PM
Barren River Rod & Gun Club hosted a 25M event that was sold out.  11 of the 12 shooters were new to Appleseed.

The weather was chilly in the morning and beautiful by the end of the day.  The range was fantastic and good range relations were maintained.

Saturday morning began with Jayshoneybunny presenting a 50-shoot pin to Geek.

There were two youth shooters; one was only going to observe. It was decided to let him shoot, gear was found, and it turned out to be a great opportunity.  Both were awarded the William Diamond patch on Sunday.

Our shooters ranged in age from 8 to 74.  Two separate cadres meshed together to present two days of instruction and history. It was a great weekend for heritage and marksmanship.  Clay scored rifleman and Andrew cleared the redcoat!

Thank you to Barren River Rod & Gun Club for waiving range fees.  We are looking forward to more shoots at this location in 2025!  Special thanks to ArmyVet, Eaglekeeper, Old Navy Doc, Griffen & Geek for their hard work and mentoring of this SBit 2 candidate!

PLease post pictures if you took them. Jayshoneybunny(JHB)

A shout out to all of our participants as they made progress through the weekend.  The skills we use were new to most of you.  It takes practice and persistence to score rifleman.  I made several new friends at this event.   I look forward to seeing you again at another event as we collectively work to save our country.

Thanks to everyone at Appleseed from the club.  We (the club) highly value your contributions to our community.
We look forward to more events in the next year.
