Great event, perfect weather! With the able assistance of "BadFishy" and "Messer" 3 students pursued the further reaches of .22LR accuracy at range. Rivanna Rifle and Pistol Club allowed us the use of their 100 yard rifle range. All 3, being previously "RifleMen", accepted the challenge and pushed their knowledge and skills to distances none had tried before. History was told including some stories where a man and a rifle, and the skills to use it well, carried the day in dangerous times. Congratulations to Jay and to Kyle for succeeding as Rimfire KD Rifleman! Huzzah!
Special congratulations to "Messer" for being the first to clear a standard "Redcoat" target posted at 50 yards ~~:) >:D
As always, the Rivanna Rifle & Pistol Club was happy to support Project Appleseed.
This was one of the most perfect weather events we've ever had - just fantastic!
The students were experienced and safe - not to mention, good shooters! O0
My thanks once again go to the Virginia Instructor Cadre - I can't think of a better group of people to share range time with!
And YES - I'm still smiling about clearing the 25M Redcoat at 50 yards - something I first tried 2 years ago when I was a student at a rimfire KD. Failing then made me want it more! :snipersmi
Stay Vigilant.
