Over the past three-plus years, Vaportrace has served as the North Carolina State Coordinator. He has mentored a new crop of instructors and shoot bosses. He has set up some new ranges, became a Charter Pistol instructor, and led the Appleseed program in the state. As an active 7th stepper, he has been active the other 28 days of the month, spreading the message of Liberty.
Vaportrace has been an example to many in the region. In following Appleseed Guideline #14, Train your replacement; he has been mentoring Tarheel to take the reins as state coordinator.
Please join me in thanking Vaportrace for his work as state coordinator. He will still be active in the state as a shoot boss and mentor.
I am pleased to announce that Tarheel has accepted the position of state coordinator. HUZZAH!!
Thank you, gentleman, for all you do for Appleseed.

NC is in good hands. Thanks to both the old and new SC.
Besides all the personal 7th-stepping and leadership for Appleseed in the state of North Carolina, Darrell is a living monument to generosity. He's put his nose to the grindstone over and over again for the program. I've seen him arrive at Ramseur after an hours-long drive to greet old friends and support new instructors at a clinic. He's already given me lots of time and attention to help me understand how to take bites from the buffet that is the state coordinator position. He's offered up his own steak dinner fresh off the grill without a second thought. I'm sure if I hung around him long enough I'd see Darrell actually give someone the shirt off his back.
Darrell's service as state coordinator is one thing. We're also fortunate to have such a steady role model of personal generosity, humility, and service beyond the nuts and bolts as well. I will certainly do my best to continue the good work he's been doing for years in the Old North State.
Darrell Thanks for all you have done for me and for this program. You are all ways there when I needed you.
Dan it will be fun working with you.
Tarheel will have big shoes to fill but he's up to it! Thanks to all.
Good job, DarrelL, Thanks for all your hard work
