15 shooters joined us a Mountain Top Range in McMinnville TN for a weekend of history and marksmanship instruction. Many thanks to our gracious hosts at Mountain Top for use of their fine facility! They even ensured the wind was normal and the weather was great!
After the open history we moved to the line. The initial Hits Counts let us know we had some work to do and we go busy. Saturday ended with the shooters experiencing Stage 3 and 65 seconds but their Hits Count improved dramatically.
Sunday morning was even better! We had a few issues with our cadre so wileycoyote and Cleveland joined us last minute to help us out - Thanks!
The Ball & Dummy drill was well received, the Known Distance block was nailed by Maximum Effort (without notes!) and the shooters were able to see how trajectory affects their shots at a longer distance. We were fortunate to have a few ARs on the line to illustrate the NZ/FZ concept as well.
As the day wore on, the unseasonable heat got to a few and we debated one more AQT. We decide to do it and ended up with another Rifleman!
Clara scored from a bipod with 216! We are looking forward to seeing her return as she gets older.
Clay took the high score with 229.

Jeff M. was right there with 228.
EagleKeeper requaled with 223.
Andrew scored 213 and quickly accepted an Orange Hat to become Tennessee's newest IIT (https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=68598.0).
Please post more pics if you have them.
Congrats to all and thanks to the cadre for wonderful weekend.
This was a wonderful class. We had lots of youths who were a delight to work with. The weather was great for October and the facilities perfect for Appleseed.
The instruction was adjusted to fit the students and the students I worked with in Saturday paid attention and showed steady improvement. As they practice dry firing at home, I expect most will approach Rifleman scores.
It was a beautiful day at Mountain Top Gun and Archery!!
