Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye,
Let it be known, that over the course of the second weekend in September, in the year of our Lord 2024, Texas was blessed to have TWO men demonstrate that they know what they're about - and are willing to help step up and teach others to do the same!
In the not-so-far-off land of the Goin' Firearms & Shooting range, in Muenster, TX, there was once a troop of Trail Life boys. Young boys, who had never attended a Project Appleseed event. Many of which had very little experience with firearms. These boys wondered, "Who will teach us the ways of History, Heritage and Marksmanship?"
Enter our brave heroes, who not only answered the call, but took the challenge upon themselves to advance.
Locke Enload, who is himself well familiar with Trail Life, performed nearly every point of instruction - and did it with style. His confident demeanor lent confidence to the students, and made any who had coached him proud to see his progress over time.
ScottInTX planned and executed the event with the typical calm style we've come to expect, and presented an introduction to Known Distance during the second day that was simple and precise - and easily approachable by our young attendees. When the inevitable happened with any youth group & the timing didn't quite go as expected, ScottInTX improvised, adapted and overcame - as a shoot boss should.
Gentlemen, we're proud of you and we're grateful for the effort you have both put in to hone the craft of not only marksmanship, but teaching.
All, let's give these fine men a good . . .
