Hey Guys,
Just wanted to say what a great weekend it was spending time and reconnecting with friends in Alaska. I thoroughly enjoyed the classroom time and my opportunity to present the Wind block: Managing it, estimating and compensating for it. As always, I learned more about how to be an instructor and new skills as a shooter.
When it came time to set up the range we all pitched in and got it done. Then, the rains came.....Yep, we shot in the mud, we shot in damp, we shot in the rain! No one whined. It's Alaska in August after all.
I saw lots of good shooting from several students and the instructors. Special thanks from me go to Agent Orange who offered me the loan of a rifle and ammo. I accepted and it sure paid off on Sunday when I earned my star by hitting Morgan's Shingle standing. That was a thrill. Now I'll have to do it with open sights.
Absolutely loved the Shot Marker targets we put up on Saturday. It is a game changer allowing people to see and save their targets electronically, on their phones. There were twelve shooters sharing three targets. Everyone was very positive with their commentary on this system. Agent Orange was an outstanding manager for this system.
Here are a few pictures from our weekend.
In Liberty,
