Hello Everyone,
Just joined up today, moved to the Indianapolis area last year and looking to get my boys involved in shooting. Met up with some great folks from your org at Deer Creek last month and I am looking at registering for the Appleseed event in Nappanee in September.
Meanwhile I am definitely interested in building / buying M1-style Ruger 10/22s for my boys (10 and 11), but meantime getting them proficient on Ruger American .22 bolt guns w/ GI-type iron sights. Looking to learn what I can and contribute to the best of my abilities.
Thank you and hope to see you out at the range soon!

Welcome to our forum. The Jonesboro event was a great one, weather was not horrible. We have an event over near Fowler this fall as well. If the boys catch the bug and want another opportunity this year, Fowler would be a nice drive for you as well. Good luck on the 10/22 builds. It is a lot of fun.
I am new as well and have registered for the May 2024 Jonesboro event.

Welcome to the forum. There is a ton of good stuff about preparing for an event on here. The Jonesboro range is a great place and awesome host.

Hey Stoner, I own the M-1 Ruger 22. Fantastic Rifle. I put tech sights on it and got an M1 Carbine sling to fit complete with the Oiler to boot. It's a fun rifle to shoot, very accurate!
