Title: The unnamed third rider
Post by: Iborche on July 07, 2024, 03:28:43 AM
We met a fellow from SAR at our Libertyseed this weekend who shared his family history of Ebenezer Dorr III, a tanner from Roxbury who by the accounts I've heard and have been able to find, may have been  one of the previously unamed riders who left Boston with William Dawes.

This article suggested by our SAR friend mentions the midnight ride and what Dorr may have done after crossing Boston Next with Dawes.

This 1930 newspaper clipping I found also places Dorr with Revere and Dawes, and other lesser known riders Joseph Hall and Solomon Brown (of Lexington, who by some accounts was captured by the same patrol as Revere).

That's awesome! Might be working that into the strikes 😁
