What a great weekend for an event. No rain in the forecast (although a few drops came down a couple of times), but high temps were expected. That being said, it wasn't too bad if you were dressed for the weather and had plenty to drink. Hydration became the keyword for the weekend. We started things out with the basics and building a solid foundation. After that, we moved on to IMC and adjusting the sights. The heat slowed things down quite a bit, so we only got a greencoat in late in the afternoon.
Sunday morning dawned a little cooler, so were able to spend a lot of time fine-tuning the ability to consistently put rounds on target. We spent considerable time through the weekend talking history, and Yates brought out his collection of period firearms, including several originals.
A brief storm came through mid-afternoon, and all agreed that, with the heat, we'd had about enough for the weekend.
Thanks to the Greater Pittsburgh Gun Club for hosting our event, and we look forward to returning in the fall for a Rimfire KD.
