Lately, my stash of Appleseed patches has been getting a little too big for the Ziploc baggie they live in. I went on the internet looking for what to do with them and I was coming up short. Thinking others may be having the same problem as me, I decided to compile a list of ways to display badges for my fellow Appleseeders.
1. The tried-and-true shooting jacket
I have seen many shooting jackets covered in patches. This option is clearly popular and works great. The only downfall (in my opinion) is that shooting jackets can get very expensive, very fast. Nonetheless, this is a great way to show off those hard earned patches!
2. My personal favorite: rifle bag display
Putting your patches on your rifle bag is a great way to spice up a boring bag while simultaneously proving to those around you that you know very well what you are about. :cool2:

3. Wall display
Putting your patches up on an old piece of scrap wood can be a great way to display your patches. Put it up in your office or keep it in the background of zoom meetings will surely invite some 7th stepping. ^-^

4. The Ziploc baggie
This seems to be the most popular option. Very easy and cost effective!
I have a few on a shooting jacket that I can't even wear anymore. The rest are in the tried and true baggie.
I have seen pics of a few shadow box displays. You could also frame an AQT that is special to you and add related patches under the glass along with it.
I did the shadow box for when I went on active duty with my most relevant patches.
I have a shooting jacket that has about 75 percent of my patches. I didn't plan ahead on my shooting jacket so some are permanently attached and I can't add some of my rockers.
Best thing I did with my jacket was add some Velcro areas to the front pocket and left arm. I later added Velcro to some patches using shoo goo and I can take some. Patches off and on as needed.
If I ever get another shooting jacket I will put large Velcro areas on both arms and front left and right areas which allows me room to add or subtract patches as needed

I made this for a Libertyseed. It stays here in my house until the next field trip to another event. Ohhhh - I need to add the Prudence Wright patch from this year's April shoot.
I have a shooting coat with some patches on it.
Lately I have put some velcro strips on my gun safe and have displayed on the front of my safe.
Okay, I really like what I'm hearing. For the longest time, I've been thinking shooting jacket, and I may go that route but SK is right, they can be pricey. I also like the framing important targets idea. (Am I overlooking someone's Gold Star!!!???). The Velcro idea is solid. That way we can swap out and move things around the more awesome our shooting becomes. ;D
A follow up thought about the Zoom call situation. This one hits home: I despise zooming but must for work—mostly with Canadians. What a great, yet subtle way to share our heritage of Liberty and Freedom with our brothers and sisters to the North who don't share this great gift?

Not exactly sure if you were asking a rhetorical question or not but the framed aqt with patches or the display board would be a great way to get your point across.

Not only that, but the odds that Appleseed will come up with more patches is likely.
I keep hoping for a patch for someone who has never taken reimbursement. Doesn't apply to me of course, but I know a few.
I have an economical fishing style vest that works well for patches plus all the pockets are quite handy. O0

THAT'S WHAT YOURE COMMENTING ON?! (I guess you didn't notice that I stole one of your wood sample boards!) :slap:
These are all great ideas! I have my high-score AQT hanging on my wall at work. I think I'll make a seventh stepping poster and hang it in our range clubhouse -- that'll get their attention. We just signed up a new range Jacksonville that has tons of potential. I'll see if they will let me hang something in their clubhouse as well!!! Thanks for starting this thread special_K!!
