What a great day in Colorado. The Skyline hunting and Fishing club, hosted a Charter Pistol instructor bootcamp on Thursday.
The Charter Pistol Boot Camp is all about how to run a pistol IBC so we jumped right into it. Items like, what should and shouldn't be included in a pistol IBC, the required course of fire for IBCs and how to teach those items were all covered. Our break out groups focused on how to teach the culture aspects of our IBCs and the importance of those blocks of instruction.
We also spent a lot of time on items like the limits of Shoot boss discretion and how those decisions by our Shoot bosses effect our insurance coverage.
After discussing shootboss discretion we reviewed the pistol COF for events and the targets used for that COF.
In the end two more Charter Pistol instructors were minted. They are going to do great things in their areas.
It was a great day but it was only the start. This weekend was actually 4 days with three separate events. Days two and three were a pistol IBC. Don't miss reading that After Action Report as well. :)
