The Cherokee Rod & Gun Club hosted a terrific Ladyseed Saturday morning. Special thanks to Devereux for unlocking the gate for us! 8 women came out for the second Ladyseed at this great range to hone their rifle skills and hear our history. All were new or relatively new to shooting rifles. With clean slates, these ladies jumped right in to learning those perfect practices we talked about at the beginning of the shoot. It was a bit cold in the morning, but I didn't hear any complaints. By the end of the shoot, they'd all warmed up and made tremendous progress. I love the families that came out and cheered each other on - among the 8 shooters, there were 2 and 3 generations.
Thank you to the Appleseed family that came out. Proud Patriot especially for coming out on her birthday weekend and driving 4 hours to be the first to arrive - happy birthday. Tar Heel, NotASpy, and Wileycoyote - thanks for your help. You guys are all such natural instructors. It was great to work with you.
