Minnesota cadre members gathered on a beautiful Saturday in February to celebrate our freedoms and spending the day knocking of some rust as Minnesota's cold typically sees us shooting less. Six volunteers and a guest spent the morning working on rifles.
The opening hits count showed 3 clears (Way to go neckburn / MNWard / TheDestroyer), 1 effective at 200 and 1 effective at 100. We then moved into a couple of squares and then AQTs with Ward shooting consistently on all three and Neckburn working on getting his distinguished with iron sights.
After a lunch of smoked chuck roast sandwiches, we reconfigured the range and did some Pistol Clinic work in the afternoon. Rust was knocked off and we enjoyed chances to test out some pistols we hadn't shot before.
We wrapped up a little early and headed home.
All in all, a great day for this shoot boss to hang out with fellow Appleseeders and energize the batteries for the MN trail this year.
Thanks to Monticello Sportsmen Club for hosting us and for the volunteers for coming out.
MNWard, neckburn, heatstroke, TheDestroyer, M14man, MostlyLawAbidingCitizen, and Judah - thanks for coming out. I look forward to working events with each of you this year.
