Was a great day at Desert Sportsman Rifle and Pistol Club. Good weather, and 11 shooters eager to drink from the fountain of knowledge.
We entertained 4 shooters, new to Appleseed, three from the repressive state of California and one who undertook a 7 hour drive to attend. Talk about desire to learn!
After a full day of instruction and shooting, our shooters showed tremendous improvement, and Andrew S. requalified with a 212 score using a bolt action rifle. James C. requalified with a score of 222.
Sunday was just as impressive as Saturday, with shooters. improving their marksman skills. There was so much improvement that Chris C. requalified with a score of 225.
Recentlly turned 13yearold Anthony C. scored rifleman with a 220 at his 3rd Appleseed.
First time shooter, as well as first time Appleseed attendee. Marcus G. using a borrowed rifle overcame issues on both days to finally score rifleman with 215.
It was such a pleasure to see every shooter improve and those that did not score a 210, demonstrated that they are very close to breaking that threshold.
On a final note, IIT4 derschneller demonstrated proficent knowledge and teaching skill to join the ranks of Red Hats in the Appleseed Program. Congratulations!
Huzzah to the new and requalified Riflemen!
