10 shooters gathered at the City of Albuquerque Shooting Park to enjoy a cold weekend at the 25m Project Appleseed event. Saturday Morning the temperature was 26 degrees but felt like 21. The high temperature was in the mid 50's. The shooters showed up and the event began, 4 Youth and 6 Adults most of which had not been to an Event before started to learn and demonstrate their shooting skills with a Red Coat, only 3 suffered the proverbial "Bayonet".

At the end of Saturday only 1 suffered the proverbial "Bayonet".
Sunday morning the temperature had warmed up, starting out at 32 degrees, but would only warm up to the mid 40's. The morning Red Coats improved, all the shooters made 3 hits in one of the silhouettes. The last of the instruction was given and we started to shoot AQT's.

Stage 4
After a couple of AQT's we took a break and had the Shooters Prepare a Magazine of 5 rounds. We hung a 3" steel plate at the target line and split them into two groups, Kids plus Sam vs the Adults. You got one point for a hit while in prone and two points for hits in sitting/kneeling. The Adults won, as most of them decided to shoot sitting. There wasn't many misses among the entire group of shooters. The shoot boss may need to purchase a small steel target...
The Sunday afternoon Red Coat there were 3 shooters who cleared the Target. We got to a total of 4 AQTs over the weekend and added Four new Riflemen! Due to the Cold Weather mixed with a little snow and rain. We awarded the Winterseed Patches.

This was another great event at the City of Albuquerque Shooting Park. Project Appleseed and the Albuquerque Cadre extend our thanks to the Range and all the Students who attend.
We have spoken with the range about the 200 Yard Bullseye Range. We are looking to put an Rimfire Known Distance on the schedule later this year.
