Title: Battle Creek, MI. Sept. 23-24, 2023 AAR
Post by: Click on September 26, 2023, 01:21:22 PM
Talk about an absolutely amazing weekend. We had 15 shooters show up to celebrate and learn more about our shared history and heritage. I honestly couldn't remember the last time where about 95% of our shooters were attending for the first time. They were an awesome group of people to work  with. They were ready to learn and asking questions, and applying it to their shooting with AQT scores hit between 170s and 207 with one of our shooters getting his rifleman score twice with a 213 and 216. Congratulations to Rob on those scores. David, Kenshin, and Victoria getting close in 200s. Stephanie, Josh, Richard, Misty, Rick, Brian, Owen, Brandon, Jared, Emily and Rocky your scores just kept getting better and better with a little more practice and time I can see all of you hitting those Rifleman scores, a rifleman persists so keep practicing and let's see you hit those scores.

I would like to thank all my instructors for coming out and helping and for all the top notch instruction. Thank you to 3.dogs, MI-Copperhead, No Lambo and of course a huge thank you to Rascal21 and Bill Winkle for their help and keeping me on track.

I would also like to thank Sportsman's Club of Battle Creek for hosting the event as always the club was welcoming and the range was beautiful. I can't thank them enough of all the continued support over the years.

I know there were pictures taken over the weekend so let's get them posted for all to enjoy.

I can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful September weekend in Michigan than instructing at an Appleseed. We had an attentive group of shooters the majority who were first time Appleseed participants. I witnessed shooters taking notes both during the points of instruction and the 3 strikes of the match which very much impressed me. I was pleased with the questions we got during the POI's and after our history presentations. This group showed they were thirsty for marksmanship instruction and American history. Congratulations Rob on shooting the Rifleman score and backing it up. Victoria,  keep practicing the 6 steps and NPOA and that 205 will suddenly jump over 210 for a Rifleman score. I think all of our participants will agree that a Project Appleseed weekend will bring out the weak spots in our equipment but everyone showed the persistence that it takes to be Riflemen. I hope I will see all of you back at another Appleseed soon.
On top of working with a great crew like Click, 3 Dogs, No Lambo, Rascal and BillWinkle, it was great to have Grey Wolf show up to do the Flag Tour for our shooters.
Appleseeders are the best people on earth.  HUZZAH !!

I am so glad that I finally listened to No Lambo and attended this wonderful event.  The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic.  Absolutely can't wait to come back.
