I really enjoyed spending Labor Day weekend with this great group of students (11 were first time Appleseeders). The students followed instructions and everyone improved their marksmanship. They also came away with a greater sense of what sacrifices were made on April 19th, 1775. We also had 5 observers...one of which was touched by the history and said, "it's a shame this stuff isn't taught in school!"
We had one Rifleman, Steve Z, requalify with a 236 and 244. Several folks were hitting the shingle by the end of Saturday and someone cleared the target every time from then on. Huzzah!!!!
I hope everyone that came out comes back and brings someone with them. Several of you were "knocking on the door" of Rifleman (or Riflewoman). Keep practicing your mag changes, dry firing, and staying calm during timed stages and you'll get there. A Rifleman persists!
Had a great time, great bunch of Instructors, hope to be able to help out a bit more in the future. Took two Grand Daughters, both were in the "Listened and Followed Instructions" group and I hope to see a couple of new Riflemen at the Antioch event! Took some photos, not sure I got them attached :)
