It was our honor to bring Project Appleseed back to SaraSpa Rod & Gun Club (https://sarasparodandgunclub.org/) after a four year hiatus.  Saratoga has a longstanding tradition of supporting Appleseed, and the region is rich in revolutionary war history.  With a little help from the locals we are aiming to keep SaraSpa on the annual event circuit in New York moving forward.

We had a fantastic shoot with some impressive Riflemen scores, and a number of returning shooters who made significant progress toward their first patch.

Congratulations to our Riflemen:

Zach (Distinguished)
Vince (Distinguished)
Paul
Shari
Chris
Casie
Mike

Mike and Chris had been chasing a patch for several events, and it was great to see their persistence finally pay off. Congratulations, guys. For those of you still working toward 210, it would be great if you could join us in Ontario NY (https://appleseedinfo.org/location/?locationid=654&eventid=9437) this fall - that will be our final shoot in Upstate NY this season.

I'd like to recongize our 'local boots on the ground' Nikki and Dan - this event was a long time in the making and would not have been a success without all of your support on the ground at SaraSpa. Thank you so much for all the work you did getting things organized and ready for us. It was wonderful to show up on Saturday morning to a range that was prepped and ready to go!

I'd also like to acknowledge Zach (Bucky12944) for stepping up and donning an Orange Hat. New York needs volunteers who are committed to expanding Project Appleseed's reach in the state, and Zachary has a lot of valuable experience which should be an asset to our cadre there. Thank you for volunteering, bud - I hope you find the journey as rewarding as I have.

Last but not least, thank you to our amazing crew of volunteers who dedicated their time and travel for this Saratoga event - Bogie, Hawkman, Dude, OmegaBurn, Yogini and Cannibal - you guys were excellent, thank you so much for your support!

See you all in 2024!

Thanks to T.wolf and his entire cadre for an outstanding Appleseed weekend. It's humbling to see the dedication and distance traveled by these great volunteers. New York is a better place because of people like you. See you all in Ontario this fall, I hope!

Great shoot! Thanks to all involved and welcome back to NY, especially to Sara-Spa, where it all began.

Congratulations to all the riflemen and women and especially the Distinguished. Very well done indeed.

What a shoot! It was a pleasure to take a little trip an do some Apple-seeding in The Empire State. Thank you Sara-Spa for hosting and the local volunteers for your efforts, it wouldn't have happened without you.

Quite a group of patriots and marksman you all are. Many of you know very well what you are about! Congrats to our rifleman, both new and requalifying, it's no easy feat you've accomplished. I challenge you to start planting and watering "seeds" of your own. New York (and the rest of the country) NEED YOU. :sos:

To those of you still chasing 210, keep at it! Practice the three pillars of marksmanship (steady hold factors, 6 steps to firing a shot, and NPOA). A rifleman persists, and I know there will be patches in your future if you want them.

I look forward to seeing you all again down the Appleseed road!

Bogie

This was a great weekend. Things really started to click for me and it wouldn't have been possible without the amazing instructors. Thank you all!

Excited to have earned my patch but this is only the beginning!

See you all in Ontario!

- Chris

Had an excellent time. Awesome group of people to work with, both students and cadre.
Looking forward to many more events, both for NY and SaraSpa!

Thank you so much to T.Wolfe and crew for making this event happen. Shout out to Sureshot for all his help and expertise in organizing and planning at the club.

We're happy to see Appleseed back at Saraspa and are looking forward to more events in the future!

Congrats to all the new rifleman and to the re-quals. It was great seeing our friends from Chesterfield fish and game club make the trip out. You guys are aweaome!

Can't wait to see everyone at the next NY event (or maybe even one out of state). :)
