Students and instructors alike enjoyed a wonderful Project Appleseed weekend at York - Adams Game & Fish Association last weekend. A big THANK YOU to our gracious hosts!
The weather was hot and sunny, and the marksmanship heated up in a hurry, too. Three students made all thirteen shots count on their Hits Count! targets on Saturday. Congratulations to Bill, Don and Mark! As we worked through the Points of Instruction it was apparent that several of the students had brought some serious rifle marksmanship skills with them to the event. We worked on honing those skills, as well as developing the skills of the less experienced students.
Sunday was pretty much a repeat of Saturday's weather. We began to test the skills that had been developed the day before. Amy (twice), Don and Tim cleared their Hits Count! targets. Amy (214), Bill (high of 230), Don (229) and Mark (214) earned Rifleman patches with their excellent marksmanship. Most of the students showed great improvement in their shooting skills over the weekend, with many shooting in the Sharpshooter range.
This was a great group of students at a great range with great weather, truly a perfect Appleseed weekend! Thanks to Yates and Off_paper for their excellent instruction. It really showed results at the target line!
