This was the first pistol clinic at Middletown Sportsmen's Club. We had the use a a nice partly shaded range.
The weather was hot and muggy, which took a toll on the shooters.
Saturday, we started off with some pre-history and the safety rules, followed by a hits count target.
Instruction followed along with the three strikes of the match.
In the afternoon, we got in five PQTs with some drills mixed in.
Sunday started with a review of the safety rules and other points of instruction.
We ran some drills and then started back into the PQTs.
At lunch, we heard about Sam Colt and Sam Walker, followed by some dangerous old men.
We had a fun shoot in the middle of the afternoon using the big dot/little dot target for a timed competition.
The times were close, especially between Griffin and Samuel, with Samuel edging out Griffin.
Samuel also made Pistoleer™ with a score of 229 followed by a reconfirmation of 224.
Griffin and Messer454 also reconfirmed their Pistoleer™.
Many of the other shooters were close, and if it had not been for fatigue, I'm sure we would have had a couple of others.

It was great to see Sally and Elizabeth back on the line, this time with pistols and their husbands!

It was great to meet everyone. Middletown really has a well shaded pistol range. Thanks for being so willing to learn. I saw real progress with pistol shooting over the two days. Good job Samuel! I hope I'm there when you confirm Pistoleer™ with a centerfire pistol next time O0. Here are some of my photos, sorry I missed you somehow Tony.
