Unbelievable weekend. We had shooters from IL, IN and KY, we had an incredible group of Americans, from very diverse backgrounds come together to celebrate our freedoms and discuss the founding of our country, and did I mention we had 4 Riflemen?
Many thanks to the Deer Creek Conservation Club that always treats us great. The weather...other than Saturday morning with thunderstorms...was excellent and our group of students, as usual, started as strangers and ended as friends. Once again...the more you are around Appleseed people, the more you want to be around Appleseed people.
Steve and Chuck from KY are always welcome. Steve was BORING and shot RM time after time. Chuck had excellent form and is gaining ground. Isaac showed us that the second time is a charm and achieved RM and then SHOT DISTINGUISHED which was the first time I ever got to hand out that patch. Russ improved mightily as our compadres from IL were a ray of sunshine all weekend...Sarah, Ryan, Chris and KT. Watching you go from "how the heck do I put this sling on" to "I got this" was inspiring. And then Nathan, Emmet and Brennan. Even though dad got RM, you two are on his heels and I was thankful for your good humor and persistence.
Again, thanks to DCCC and we can't wait to come back later this year.

Thank you for a safe and educational experience. Great group of instructors and fellow shooters….
