This was a perfect weekend for a Rimfire KD. Gorgeous weather, light wind, and nice temps.
6 students, 3 returning to the RKD and 3 new, and everyone ready to learn.
Due to a competition on the 200 yd range, we were on the 100 yd range for Saturday morning. We worked on getting folks zeroed at 50 yards, perfecting their prone position and working to IMC…lots of IMC. By lunch we were ready to pull everyone back to the 100 yd line and work there after lunch if need be. Fortunately, the match was done, so after lunch we moved to the 200 yd range, spent some time getting it set up. Thanks Mike & Rocksanne for the use of your trailer and ATV both made moving ranges and set up a breeze!! We continued getting everyone sighted in before we had to stop for the day.
Sunday, we finished sighting at 200, then took a break and the instructors set up for Morgan's Rifleman at 125 yards. Congrats to Craig for his entry to Morgan's Rifleman!!
We verified everyone's zero's back to 50 yards, then began the AQT's. 3 folks made Rifleman KD style!
Craig 40
Rocksanne 40
Mike H 43 (repeat Rifleman score)
Craig and Rocksanne were gifted with waters from the North Bridge, which I bet actually felt pretty good after the warm afternoon!
Craig decided that if he made Rifleman, he would take a hat…Welcome Calisnaps!!
This was Rocksanne's first Rifleman score! The first of many I am sure.
Thanks for a great weekend!
Thank you for helping us tear down and clean up, it's greatly appreciated.

That sounds like an amazing weekend. I wish I could have been there! I must have been the last person in California to get COVID. Yay, Craig, for joining up! It will be great working with you all!
