The Brass Valley Range in Temple, TX held it's first Appleseed Pistol Clinic and it was a great success! The event was "Sold Out" and, despite the challenging weather, most of the shooters still came out to attend. Rain and wind made it nearly impossible for the targets to stay on the backers, and clay made for some heavy feet and slippery conditions. A Rifleman Persists!
We covered the course of instruction including safety, pistol handling and the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. At lunch, we shared some history from the founding of our nation before working on shooting the challenging Pistol Qualification Test after lunch. Everyone made enormous progress toward more consistent, fast and accurate shooting. When we had finished, four of the shooters had shot a qualifying score and earned their Pistoleerâ„¢ Patch. Overall, a great event and fantastic day of liberty and shooting. Thanks to Brass Valley (and family) and all the shooters who were able to come be a part of this Pistol Clinic.
I didn't get any pictures but luckily others did. I will post what I have as I get caught up. Until then, please add your comments, observations, and pictures.
Thanks for shoot boss'n this event, Captain. Ant thanks to the whole team. I know there were a lot of logistical challenges that day due to the crummy weather. Please reach out should you need any help in the future. I live in Belton so that's a plus (I hope).
P.S. Ms Smith introduced us in April. I am a recent Orange Hat and simply have a willing spirit to help.

Thanks for coming out. If there was a Medal of Honor for Appleseeding I'd put you in for it.
Top notch instruction.
I've been bragging for 4 months to everyone who would listen about the quality of Appleseed instruction and storytelling. Gentlemen, you did not disappoint! So grateful the pistol course moved a little further south. Before the day ended, everyone who came with us were trying to figure out the next time they could hit the range with their new found knowledge. I think this pic of my friend proves we left as better marksmen - and better patriots - than how we started. Just look how those shots tighten up all in the paint!
It was a true pleasure meeting and spending the day with you, Mr Tuber and your posse of pistol shooters! I'm looking forward to seeing you get that "other" patch along with a shiny new orange hat!
I know Mrs Tuber already posted, but thank you to all the instructors and Brass Valley for putting on a great clinic, even with the foul weather! We all gained in our knowledge of our forefathers, with some great shooting instruction to go with it. We're already planning for our next Appleseed event and Mrs Tubers' rifleman patch.
