Title: Chattanooga 25M event May 06/07 2023 AAR
Post by: Cleveland on May 07, 2023, 07:06:01 PM

What an amazing group of shooters we had on the line this weekend. Saturday started out with great weather. Maximum Effort set the bar high for the weekend's history with the telling of the First Strike of the match. Young Mermaid took care of the safety brief then ArmyVet and Maximum Effort took the bulk of the marksmanship instruction. After the Prone Practical Exercise, Trigger Exercise, and Dryfire Exercise the shooters shot their first groups of the day.  Talking Targets came very quickly as the groups impressed everyone.

Hardholder made a guest appearance from Alabama to tell us the Second Strike of the match. He held the shooter's attention with his amazing storytelling abilities. Spicial_K did math in public, knocking IMC out of the park. Special_K also finished up Saturday's history, doing a great job, of telling the story of the Regular's march back to Boston in the Third Strike.

Hats off to our new Rifleman: Riley with a 220, and Dr. Witte with a 214, both first-time Appleseeders. HUZZAH

We had a number of re-qualifiers. Mermaid 221, Special_K 224, Josh 235, Tyler 222, Simon 231 with irons and 240 with a scope HUZZAH, Palousie 233, KMom 232 and Booney Stomper 213.

Ted, keep up the practice, you are very close to qualifying.

It was amazing to work with Jeff, Brenda and Phil we hope to see you all again soon at an event. Remember, a rifleman persists.

Many thanks to all the crew and shooters for making this a successful event.
