We had seven enthusiasctic shooters on our line at Battle Creek this past weekend who showed up to celebrate Patriot's Day in spite of the very inclement weather. In spite of cold, wind, rain and sleet they hung in there as true riflemen do. They were enthusiastic, willing to learn, and full of energy in spite of the weather. It was an honor to work with them.
Congratultions to our three shooters who shot rifleman scores. (Derek, Randy and Bruce). We had several others knocking on the door and I am certain they will persevere and the rifleman ranks in the very near future.
Many thanks to the Sportsman's Club of Battle Creek for hosting our shoot. Without their continued support and backing our event would not have happened. Very special thanks goes out to all my instructors who made the shoot happen and whose encouragement, insight, and skills enabled our shooters to thrive, have fun, and succeed. Thank you all!!
What an outstanding group of shooters who showed the spirit and persistence of Rifleman. The weather was definitely a challenge with cool temperatures, rain and wind and equipment malfunctions added into the mix. Congratulations to our Riflemen and our other shooters who showed marked improvement over the weekend. Jackson, despite battling equipment issues and having to switch rifles your groups and form show that when everything finally comes together for you that Rifleman patch will be well deserved. I hope I am there to see you do it. The fun shoot was a hoot for both the participants and instructors and one to grin about for years to come.
All in all I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else this Patriots day weekend than with such a fine group of participants and instructors.
