What a weekend for Lady Liberty. 11 Shooters faced the hot and humid conditions on Saturday on a slightly soggy range to face the Project Appleseed firehose of instruction.
We had one new Rifleman on Saturday - Dave Gilbert -"drgilbert", attending his second Appleseed shot a 227, earned his Rifleman patch and accepted a shiny new Orange Hat. Huzzah. We presented a couple of Certificates of Appreciation to the host venue and Steve Canfield (the club president).
Every single shooter showed great progress during the day on Saturday and went home to re-hydrate and down some over the counter analgesics (prescribed by Dr. Bruce aka 9mm4545). With some over night attrition (likely due to the weather forecast -which proved to be very inaccurate) 6 returned on Sunday to work on further improvement. Applecore volunteer Cheyenne (DaughtersofLiberty75) earned her Riflewoman patch on Sunday. Huzzah.
Aaron and Spencer, Doug, Ryan, James, Stephen, Nathan, Bud and Charles were all enthusiastic and motivated. Dry Practice.... Dry Practice... Dry Practice.
Due to popular request we were able to get permission from the Flagler Gun Club to have another event in May. Mark your calendars for May 20-21. Will be posted soon for signup.
Having such a talented cadre of instructor and applecore volunteers - 9mm4545 (Bruce), rambogranny (Janet), heavyduty77 (Pete), B.C. (Chris), edree (Ed), JC/DC (John) even with his Aussie accent, HenryBowman77 (Tom), TomM1Thumb (Tom), Grunt (Dix) and DaughtersofLiberty75 (Cheyenne) made being the shoot boss easy. Thank each of you for your support and dedication.
I am sure that those who took pictures will be posting them.

Before anyone (PHenry?) gets all excited about what looks like Garand on the firing line in several spot in RamboGranny's videos I need to point out it was a 10/22 in Garand clothing. But 9mm4545 did requalify using those Garand iron sights.
A great shoot! It's always a pleasure to see the progress that the shooters experience. Makes all the effort of instructing worth while. Congratulations to all.
The bell tolled during the Memorial Volley is a nice touch.
Thanks Dennis. That was the bell from our old trawler we lived aboard 7 years. Fortunately the bell and us survived quite a few storms and unplanned "adventures" at sea ðŸ˜,
Perhaps others seeking a ðŸ"" bell for future Patriot Days could even stumble into one at a marine salvage. ðŸ˜
