Title: Nappanee IN. April 15-16, 2023 Patriot's Day Shoot
Post by: Click on April 18, 2023, 02:01:02 PM
As always it was a good weekend down at the Nappanee Conservation Club. We had 10 shooters show up to help us celebrate our heritage. All of the shooters showed great improvement throughout the weekend. The shooters were not afraid to ask questions during and point of instruction. Congratulations to Keith for scoring his first rifleman score. Ron, Jason, and Derek were all really close with scores around 190. Keep at it practice what you learned and I am confident that you will see those rifleman scores. A big thank you to all the instructors that worked the event who without you guys I don't think it would of been possible. The weather on Sunday had shooters leaving early but some stuck out the bitter cold for the memorial volley, after the volley it was the consensus to call it quits for the day. I would also like to thank the Nappanee Conservation Club for hosting the event, they are always a great host and the range is a great place.

Now I know there were some pictures taken over the weekend now lets get them posted for all to see.

I always enjoy working the Nappanee Appleseed clinics. We had a great crew with Click, 3 Dogs, devilkitty, Lil Dragon, tinman, squirrel, and myself working with the participants on their safety and marksmanship fundamentals, while presenting them with history of April 19th 1775.
We had an enthusiastic group of young and older participants who soaked up the instruction and quickly shrank their shot groups.
While tinman was the only one to post a Rifleman score Saturday,  requalifying with a 213, his daughter Emily (Picasso) came tantalizingly close with a 202.
Saturday's weather was almost summer like but Sunday went from spring to late fall in about 3 hours making some challenging conditions to shoot in. Keith was up to the task and posted a 213 for his Rifleman patch.
Definitely looking forward to returning in the fall to work this event
Thanks again to the Nappanee Conservation Club and our LBOTG Jeff for a great facility and a great time
