Title: Chris Lindemann - Devnull
Post by: Mrs. Smith on March 15, 2023, 01:48:38 AM
Good evening, New Mexico.

I'm posting tonight to tell you about the passing of a retired Appleseeder, Chris Lindemann, known here as Devnull, from Portales, NM.  There are still some folks around who worked with him, like TaosGlock, BlueFeather, NMMI9100, oladcock...

He passed earlier this week, just a few days before his 42nd birthday.  If you knew him and wish to pay your respects, please reach out to TaosGlock via PM for information.

More information forthcoming - TG is gathering it.

Thank you.

Traci

From TaosGlock and BlueFeather:

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of one of our Appleseed brothers, Chris Lindemann aka Devnull. This news came to us originally from Facebook from his wife who said his passing was, "very sudden". He was 41 and also leaves behind a young son.

Chris joined our instructor corps in April 2009 at the NRA Whittington Center. He was later instrumental in getting us ranges in less populated areas like Socorro and Farmington, NM. He also worked the challenging City Range in Albuquerque where he lived while in the program. He rose from IIT to Shoot Boss in a couple years.

He caught on fast and his dedication and leadership skills were apparent early on. He was well organized, confident and disciplined.  His firm and yet easy going style instilled confidence in others.
He provided purpose, direction and motivation to the other instructors and students, sometimes under the grueling conditions which Appleseeders often endure.  Chris knew the value of good citizenship, leadership and that character counts. His steadfast leadership and willingness to volunteer when the mission demanded was unprecedented.

At an AIBC in Albuquerque hosted by Fred, we congratulated Chris as Fred installed him as New Mexico's latest Senior Instructor in April of 2011.
