This was originally scheduled as a Ladyseed event, but since we had a low number of ladies show up, we told them to bring their families, and they did! We had seven Patriots show up this weekend; all with teachable attitudes. They listened intently to all of the history as well as the provided instruction, which was apparent by the increasing AQT scores.

Six of the seven shooters were knocking on the door shooting Sharpshooter scores ranging from 190 to 202! Monica, was our most improved. It was her first time ever shooting and improved from 85 to the high score of the weekend 202! One shooter, who shot a Marksman score walked away after trying out several different rifles, walked away knowing exactly which one
she will be purchasing for her future Appleseed events. I am certain that every one of the these shooters has a rifleman patch, and who knows, may an instructor hat, in their future!!

Congrats to everyone one of our shooters who learned a lot about history, a lot about shooting, and I'm sure a lot about themselves and their abilities.

All three of our instructors who shot re-qualified!!
Thanks to Tim, aka Dragon, who dressed in period correct clothing, for bringing out his Kentucky Long Rifle and his table full of Revolutionary War era goodies. Everyone really enjoyed learning about and handling all of items -- a sword, bayonet, blocks of tea, some war biscuits (or hardtack), spices, and so much other stuff -- AND getting to shoot his rifle!!

Thanks to all of the instructors!! As always, we had a very successful event, made possible by our amazing instructor cadre'. It was nice to be able to show off the skills we honed at our Instructor Boot Camp the previous weekend. It really did show!
A special thank you to the Hurlburt Field Rifle and Pistol Club who are always very supportive of Project Appleseed!!

This was a great weekend. Everyone greatly improved throughout the day. Having a game made everyone loosen up after a few grueling AQT'S.
What another wonderful experience at Hurlburt. Weather was great, shooters safe and attentive and instructor cadre motivated. The student's progress was nothing short of amazing. Thanks to Just Kim for putting on an outstanding Ladyseed + event. I am always happy to bring out the living history display of the wares those responding to the alarm might have had with them. As our shooters discovered, its one thing to shoot at Morgan's Shingle with a scoped .22 and quite another to shoot at a man sized target at 25 yards with flintlock rifle. Big difference between "LOAD" with a magazine and stuffing a bullet down the muzzle! See you all in April.
What an awesome event! Kim has a dedicated and skilled crew at Hurlburt. I know because I had the pleasure of working with them recently. These photos brought a smile to my face. Very nice to see Dragon sporting his firelock and colonial garb. HUZZAH!
Great event. JustKim kept it moving, everyone made progress while having fun.
