Just a quick heads-up to everyone using Strelok Pro for their external ballistics solutions. It looks like the State Department has officially placed sanctions against the creator, Igor Vladimirovich Borisov, of Strelok Pro. This probably means the Strelok Pro app will be removed from the Apple App Store and the Google App Store. This usually means, when you do a major revision update to your phone, the banned or no longer available application disappears from your phone. If you want to keep using Strelok Pro then you had better turn off our Automatic Updates, ASAP.

That's just wonderful.
I won't talk politics, biting tongue, I won't talk politics………
Ah crap. :boohoo: :boohoo: That is the one I prefer to use. I even got a wind meter for Christmas that directly ports into it.
In the past I had to sideload apps that were not in the app store. I am going to have to figure that out again!!! O0
Alright! I am all over this!!!
The good news is that it appears to still be in the app store. There are multiple ways to backup it up once you have it on your "android" phone. Some ways are more complicated than others. The simplest is to use "Apk Extractor" in the app store. Then it can be saved until later when it is needed on another phone. Sorry I know nothing about iPhones but I am betting there is a way to do it on one of those too.
I am indignant; Igor has been a great maintainer of the app and consultant on the FB group for the App

The article makes some suggested alternatives
Alternative AppsIn the meantime, if you need a new ballistic app, I would recommend Hornady (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agilx.hornady&hl=en_US&gl=US), Applied Ballistics (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appliedballisticsllc.appliedballistics&hl=en_US&gl=US), and Shooter (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kndy.shooterfull&hl=en_US&gl=US).

Is there any ballistic app out there that will give me hold unders calculated for long range zeros at close range?
It has been removed by Apple from my phone
Ive been told Samsung still has it available in their app store, if you have one their phones.
A bit of looking on the internet and you can find pirated versions. And there's a good chance pirated stuff has bad stuff inserted.
Of course do not install those on your everyday phone. But I do have an old phone I use for that kinda stuff. There is also something called Android-X86 which you can install on your laptop/desktop and install stuff. Although if you're using Windows it might be able to access your Windows install.
Myself - I don't use my phone whatsoever for banking and online transactions. And you shouldn't either. The more you know about phones the less you'll like them. They really are worse than you can imagine. And that's on purpose - straight from the manufacturers. The .gov requires backdoors to be installed on popular apps - or else it's like 'nice company you have there - be a shame if the IRS came after you.' Have any of you followed that's going on with Telegram - the secure texting application?
And while I'm on the subject of phones one of the few companies that makes a 'pouch' to block everything is called OffGrid. They actually work. GPS Tracking - if you think turning your phone completely off, as in shut down, blocks GPS tracking you could be wrong. And turning off GPS on your settings doesn't stop that from happening either.
And while I'm on a roll - don't have conversations with others that you would prefer to keep private while a phone is in the area. This is not conspiracy theory.
