Title: Canton IBC, February 11-12, 2023
Post by: CokeGuy on February 13, 2023, 01:30:16 PM
Twelve Patriots from Georgia and Tennessee gathered at the Shaw-Woodward Training Center in Canton this past weekend to learn, re-learn, and hone their teaching skills for both Revolutionary War history and for rifle marksmanship. Many thanks to our State Coordinator, Roswell, for scheduling this IBC and for reserving the wonderful facilities to use.
In addition to the 4 IITs, we had a new Rifleman, Nathan, join us to take a "peek behind the curtain" of how the Project Appleseed cadre work to provide the best history and marksmanship teaching possible. He gave us high marks, and we hope that as he prays about it, he will choose to join the family.
It is always a great pleasure to work with such a dedicated group of instructors. Morpheous, Cleveland, Leadslinger, Roswell, and Gator, and TN Beast, you made the load light for the Shoot Boss. Thank you so much! The enthusiasm was constant throughout the two days. I know it will pay huge dividends as we continue to hold events for the rest of 2023. Thanks to Morpheus for again delivering with great passion Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death" speech.
Participants and instructors alike, ya'll made this SB very proud to be a part of the Appleseed family. I hope upacreek can post some pictures.

What a great weekend spent with even better people! Thank you to CokeGuy for his leadership and the example he constantly sets. Thank you to all for coming (some from Tennessee!) I look forward to working with all of you again soon. And as always, Thank you to Frank Reynolds and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for hosting.

It was a good weekend. It's always good to get back in the groove, as well as seeing my Appleseed family again!

It was just what I needed.  Thanks to everyone involved.  I had the pleasure of working with Nathan on Day 1 and he is a fine young man that will make a great instructor if he chooses to do so.
