Another great shoot here in Kerrville at Hill Country Shooting Sports. Again thank you goes to Hill Country Shooting Sports for allowing us to have such a fine place to have our shoots. :F
The weather was cool and windy to say the least. #35mph gusts and 38dg Saturday morning! We had 13 shooters on the line who were fired up about being there. We also had 9 instructors on the line! That's a pretty good student to instructor ratio. ~~:) Jeremy and his wife Sunny from our old Fredericksburg days came back and put their old hats on and joined the Kerrville Cadre'! Welcome back! Malibu who is going for his iiT3 did a fantastic job with the instruction, well done. And Big Wave called the line doing a knock out job. We love our orange hats! :sos: ;D
We started the day as usual with our Red Coat targets. Then with everyone sighting in their rifles. We had two tube fed on the line which worked out fine. Strangely we had all rim fire on the line. No centerfire at all. As things progressed through lunch and the histories were told we were able to shoot an AQT. And the results were fantastic! Curtis shot Rifleman with a 221 score! :--- He said that he had no formal training before this shoot. And this shoot was a birthday present from his wife Crissy. Who by the way shot a 185! Happy birthday Curtis. :birthday: Our day ending Red Coat showed significant improvement which tells that they were paying attention.
Day two started a little warmer but with more wind. After some sighting adjustment we got in to the AQT grind. And wouldn't you know it, Gysel shot a 211! :snipersmi She was so excited and she decided to join in and took an orange hat! We need more ladies on the line! Conrad from San Antonio was knocking on the door shooting 198 and Charles was getting close too. Roger "Two Wolves" nailed down a 246 on a blustery day like ours. That's amazing. I see a 250 in the near future. :DH: Joel a first time shooter did great with a tube fed lever action rifle! Getting your NPOA with one of those EVERTIME you shoot was a real challenge. Kayla you keep practicing and that Riflemans patch will be yours soon enough. And thank you for taking a blue hat. We need your assistance!
Thanks again guys and gals for all the work that you put into the weekend, we could not do it without you. And Ghostring, thanks for coming and joining us. Your influence, your patriotism, and your love of Appleseed is an inspiration to us all.

Jeremy!?! Cool. I remember him from way back when. Glad to hear it.
And thanks all y'all.
Perhaps the best redcoat of the day was when Joel and I shot up Conrad's redcoat at the same time! The best part was that only Conrad was accurate on the targets!! ;D ;) ^:)^
Thanks instructors, once again, for a great shoot your hard work and shooting insights are much appreciated!
Good times!!!
Definitely enjoyed the event and the community!
