Had a busy week, folks, and Two Wolves just shamed me ::), so here is the real skinny! We had a fantastic shoot in Kerrville! The first day was a bit misty, but all in all great shooting weather. We had eighteen shooters who were enthusiastic and patient as we had all levels of experience on the line. No AQTs the first day, but we made up for it on Sunday with a beautiful day and six AQTs!
Congrats to Chris and Sabastien on receiving their Riflemen patches!!! ^:)^ :snipersmi HUZZAH! Also congrats to instructor Mark for getting his Distinguished rocker! Way to go Mark (El Tejano)! ^:)^ We also had four other folks re-qualify! The redcoat targets were just as impressive. Saturday afternoon we had five folks clear it while the Sunday afternoon we had four!!! Awesome shooting!
History was a big winner as well. Unfortunately, A-Lister was sick most of the weekend, but he did stick around long enough on Saturday to do a bang-up job on Strike 1, GenX Minuteman nailed Strike 2, and I wrapped it up with Strike 3 Sunday morning. A-Lister bounced back, though, on Sunday and finished out the day with us like he never had the "Ebola" he had Saturday **).
Thanks to Waco Tactical Fitness, we were also able to replenish the ammunition spent by five youths who also received their William Diamond patches. Free shooting for those gentlemen this weekend!
To wrap the weekend off, we gave out two orange hats!! :F One to Joseph "Ghost_of_ Kosciusko" and one to "Big Wave" Dave! Congratulate them if you can personally! We need the help, and they both stepped in to RSO without missing a step! HUZZAH!
We couldn't have asked for a better shoot than we had this weekend, and practically everyone said they'd be returning. See you in January!!!

156 hits on an empty post. ~~:) Sorry, can't take it anymore. :sos:
I'll kickstart :DH: this conversation by saying hi to my fan club! Missed meâ€"did ya? #) Hey, we had a really good shoot. :~ Our shoot bossâ€"Palerider @&) (who is currently masquerading as Placeholder) :) â€"climbed aboard his trusty steed and dutifully commanded an excellent event. :sb: (good job Tim) Genx Minuteman assisted in getting ol' Palerider in the saddle while El Tejano steadied the reins. **) When it comes to leaving no stone unturned we have Twinkle toes ..:.. whose commitment to our cause is exemplary. :F The star attraction For this event, A-lister , fell ill :-[ and spent the weekend with his wonderful bride :1luvu to console him. Some how, as the battle raged on :--- at the shoot to try and forge new riflemen, in the end A-lister would drag himself away from the comfort of his home and come pay homage to the brave souls O0 who gave their weekend for liberties sake. When the last volley had faded and the dust had settled there where new riflemen! ^:)^ Also there were two new orange hats. David and Joseph, thanks a bunch guys. ;) This scrimmage with the redcoats :snipersmi brought out several father/son teams and other more important family members. (Hi Trudy) :cool2: Owen, Ethan, Joshua and Sabastian did a great job with the instruction. O0 Job well done to Jason, Felipe, Seth, Chris and Mike for getting the families involved. As for me, I was intrigued with my new friend from Houston, Charles :( who is new to shooting but came through with flying colors! Really enjoyed our visit. And how about Tip! Nice improvement. So, that about wraps it up for me, but now that I have opened the door to this discussion, don't be shy, jump on in. :pop: There's plenty of space below for your comments. BTWâ€"next years schedule has been posted and yours truly has signed up. I'll bet that gets you all fired up to register. &) Best regards to all and Merry Christmas, Two Wolves.
Hello Everyone,
This was our first Appleseed in Texas. What an outstanding event! Trudy, Nathaniel and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Instructor cadre was great. Can't wait to work with you all. I have to go up north for a month or so, but I'll be back for the February clinic. Will sign up for that one.
The big highlight for the three of us was we all cleared the last Redcoat on Sunday, which was also the first time Trudy cleared one. She has come a long way in developing her riflery skills this year.
In Liberty,
Gus
What a great group of patriots we have here in Kerrville. Actually everywhere. Appleseed people are a cut above the rest. I came down with the flu and the team never skipped a beat! Feeling better Sunday afternoon I was able to spend some time meeting the shooters. Appleseed is such a great program. Thanks everyone for stepping up and filling in for me.
Good times were had by all!!! Great to see everyone and meet new shooters :snipersmi. What a great group. When is the next one, and who's coming?
Hey LachlansTacoStand,
Looks like the next one will be in 2 weeks, January 14th and 15th!!! We will all probably be there again!
Hope to see you out there!
Chad Stovell - GenX Minuteman
