Another great event at Assc Gun Clubs of MD in Marriottsvile, MD... Sat saw 11 hearty shooters, including a sizable crew from NY State, power thru a morning of heavy rain... All students showed great progress, with one earning his Immortal 400 patch.... Sun saw 9 shooters return to the line, for A COLD day... By days end, 4 of 9 shooters topped the magic 210, to earn their Rifleman designation for a 44% success rate... Not too shabby... Thank you to our host facility and the many vols who helped make this event another great one for the record books....
Was a great event - first Appleseed for me and my two boys, and it far exceeded my hopes/expectations as far as instilling solid marksmanship lessons in the three of us. The additional history lessons and context was just as enjoyable. Scored my Rifleman and 400 on 2nd day, and pleased with my oldest kiddo outscoring me by a few getting his Rifleman! 2nd oldest was close, and loved to see the improvement over the two days for all of us. Thanks again to all of the instructors, we'll certainly be back!
