What a great event.
It was a small group but boy did they work hard. The weather was beautiful on Saturday, Sunday had a few rumblings of thunder but just a small amount of rain. The range facility was first rate and the staff could not have been nicer or more cooperative.
The experience of the group spanned from beginner to proficient, with ages from 23 to 53. On Saturday morning, after shooting the Red Coat target that for some students had only two holes in it, we started on the basics. The group worked very hard and I kept hearing comments like "Boy this really works". Apparently it does when you follow the plan. Our most inexperienced shooter, who couldn't hit the Red Coat target shot a score of 162 on his first AQT.
Sunday we had a smaller group but very dedicated. Everyone should feel good about their performance.
Carlos had a high score of 116
Adrien had a high score of 162
Michael started with a 95 and shot a 202 on his last AQT
and congratulations to our new Rifleman Scott, with a sore of 220
A big thank you to the great crew of instructors. Everyone work very hard and the teamwork was amazing.
And a bigger Thank You to the NRA Foundation for their contributions to our successful shoot.
Thanks to all.
Wendy
Looks like a great event. I really wish we could have been thereâ€"or anywhere other than here slopping around in Ian's flood waters! Keeping my powder dry has been a challenge!
Glug glug 🌊 looking for the plug to drain the flood.ðŸ™,,
Missed being with y'all. I'm sure Wendy ran a very tight ship and all enjoyed her fun personality and knowledge. In looking at the student pics, determination is there! Mix that with an engaged group of instructors and progress is gonna happen.
Huzzah!
This looks like a great event!
Tip top instruction and determined shooters --
Way to go Wendy!!!
We definitely missed seeing both of you in Homestead. Hope Ian didn't do too much damage in your area.
Our shooters delivered lots of hard work and attention. Michael was well on his way to collecting the second coveted Rifleman patch of the weekend. He was making gains on each subsequent AQT. We just ran out of time.
Lots of credit goes to Wendy, Paul, and Paula for making the event a success.
