Ct had it's first Appleseed Pistol Clinic this past weekend at NWCSA in Colebrook. Twelve students were in attendance along with five instructors throughout 2 days of instruction. The weather was great allowing for as much range time as could be expected.
The course was run by Lupis42 with Jake 1918, 300berg, aim & yours truly. After safety the first hits count showed us what the class was starting off with and got us underway. With many drills and POI's we got to one PQT target and our first Pistoleerâ„¢ of the weekend.
Alex fired a 240 with a 22 rimfire getting a good start which would be followed up Sunday with a 226 running a CF pistol.
Sunday gave the IT crew a chance to work more with the class individually which saw improvement in everyone's performance.
Randy fired a 218 score with his red dot equipped rimfire, followed by 300berg with a 211 score. Last was Lou who hung tough throughout to garner a 210 score and a cool dousing to go with it. Three other shooters were i the low 200's for score by the end of the day.
The class was a great group to work with taking to the instruction and adapting to the POI's well.
The IT crew did an outstanding job in all aspects of the event. I know the help they provided was appreciated by all who received it. Thank you for your efforts.
Our host NWCSA had things in good order for the event, even having the field mowed where the IT crew camped over the weekend. They've been a solid supporter for years and look forward to the RFKD in September there.
There should be more to follow soon.
