Continuation . . . after our "warmup" Pistol Clinic, it was time to get together, break down a clinic and practice teaching each section. But before we did that, we took a minute to review the Appleseed mission and talk about how this new program fits into the larger picture of furthering the cause of liberty. We went through each element of sample COF, reviewed it and then broke into groups to everyone had a chance to practice some teaching. We finished Saturday back on the firing line for a couple more attempts at the PQT.

The MVP of the event was definitely KProctor. He was the Appleseeder who suggested the event, set it up and got the rest of us out to participate. He also took care of the most important aspect of the boot camp . . . the FOOD! Both days, he carted his gas BBQ and a cooler full of meat and fixin's. We enjoyed midday breaks sporting burgers with different cheeses, toppings (tomatos, onions, lettuce, banana peppers, sweet and spicy jalapeno slices . . . ); they were great!
Day 2, we ran straight through the one day clinic we had seen on Friday, teaching each POI and shooting. We all worked together to provide feedback and help each other improve along with more shooting and coaching on the line. There were still more opportunities to shoot some PQTs and in the afternoon, we ran a shooting challenge against the Big to Little Dot target. ApprenticeCarpenter shot last and managed to post the best time winning the coveted 2nd Amendment Copper Challenge coin. He would also turn in the highest PQT of the weekend with a 236! Well done!

The weekend was about increasing our skills and effectiveness to further the cause of liberty, but dang, there was some good shooting. Most posted a new PR, with 10 of 12 shooting Pistoleerâ„¢ and a full third shooting above 230! I hope everyone enjoyed this event as much as I did, and I can't wait to attend some Pistol Clinics in Texoma.
More pics to be uploaded. Please post your photos and comments!
A few more pictures of everyone working on teaching POIs . . .

It was a fantastic shoot. I think the instructor boot camp is going to pay off in spades at the next Gainesville pistol event in October. I know some of my pistol POIs were polished up, and I saw the same in others. Thanks for taking the time to make this happen KPROCTOR and CAPTAIN! :F
Well, shoot . . .
So I took all of my PQTs home and was entering them into Excel. This way I can slice and dice the results a little easier and better see trends and room for improvement. Anyway . . . turns out I must be bad at math. On what turned out to be my very best PQT of the weekend, I forgot to carry the 1. :wb: It doesn't really impact anything, except that my top score for the weekend was actually 2 points higher than I thought (2 points higher than what I THOUGHT was my best PQT of the weekend).
Remember kids - measure twice, cut once! ;D
