We had 7 shooters registered for the 3rd shoot of 2022 at Pioneer Sportsmen, in Dunbarton, NH. Unfortunately, a late emergency prevent a group of three from attending. Nevertheless we carried on with a 1:1 instructor to student ratio. Three first time Appleseeders; Gary, father daughter pair, Jacob and Lorelei and returning veteran Dan. We had partly sunny and 75 for Saturday and a very sunny low 80's on Sunday. We heard the three strikes on Saturday and went through the program of instruction. We closed out the days as we began the with the hits count target, improved each time. We completed four AQTs with Dan re-qualifying with scores of 215 and 224. IIT Nightpoisen also re-qualified, scoring a 229 with irons. The first-timers showed dramatic improvements over the weekend. Jacob was really putting things together but an equipment issue reared it's ugly head. Gary persisted and had impressive results when we moved out to 100 yards. And then there was 11 year old Lorelei. This young lady was attentive, receptive to instruction, very polite and extremely safe. She is welcome on my line anytime and I look forward to her becoming a better shooter and seeing what she can accomplish. Our IITs both completed their PC2s and I'm very much looking forward to their journey to the redhat.
Thanks to Pioneer Sportsmen for their support and the use of the Silhouette range. We are on-site again October 1-2.
Lorelei was so good on the line she deserved both versions of the William Diamond patch
Great weekend all around. Everyone was safe, MattNH and Luigi both gave great presentations of the Three Strikes. The shooters were all around very impressive. Couldn't ask for a better lineup of students eager and willing to learn.
I always have a great time in NH. I'll be back in Dunbarton in October!
Some photos I snapped and wanted to share.
Great photos! Weather looks fantastic. :)
