If there was any doubt whether the people of New York value their Liberty, that uncertainty does not tread far into the North Country!
We were blown away by the level of support that Project Appleseed received from the Adirondacks. A heartfelt Thank You to Chesterfield Fish & Game Club (https://chesterfieldrange.com/) for reaching out to us last November, and then pulling out all of the stops to make this inaugural event such a success. Paul, our valued LBOTG - none of this would have happened without you. Your passion for your community and your country is inspiring, and it was a wonderful experience working with you on this project. You are among Daniel Morgan's Men (https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=59673.msg402315#msg402315), Paul - nice shot! And you walked Battle Road and dipped your canteen in the waters that pass beneath the North Bridge, and you bottled it up for us! And now that water has traveled all the way to Michigan - rest assured we will make good use of it!

To our shooters - on behalf of the entire Project Appleseed team - thank YOU for showing up and getting engaged with the past & future of your country. I knew there were some repeat Appleseeders in this group, and I knew we had the club's NRL team in the mix, but we were still impressed with your attention, your efficiency, and your commitment to marksmanship.
Congratulations to our Riflemen:
Todd = 214
McAllister = 232
Mayo = 230
Muzzy = 221
Zach S = 214
David = 222
David, watching you pull that 222 on the final AQT of the weekend was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had as an Instructor in some time. I got to watch you experience the "Rifleman's Bubble" where it all comes together - nicely done, sir.
Levi, Randy, Mike - you are all Riflemen at heart, and it showed. These positions/transitions are tough on a man. The best advice I ever got was to practice prone/seated/transitions in the comfort of my home just like a daily exercise (which I otherwise rarely do). Practice changing mags and acquiring NPOA with a laser on your living room floor. I had to do all of those things and overcome equipment issues before I could achieve 210 on an AQT. You guys are way ahead of where I was at that time. You know the fundamentals. I see Riflemen patches in your future if you choose to follow through on that journey.
Nicole and Zachary - I can't believe I'm saying this, but we LOVED having you and your tube fed rifles on our line! Hats off to you for reaching out to us in advance to clarify the procedure for tube fed rifles, and then sticking with your equipment and getting the most out of your weekend. You both had great attitudes (Riflemen Persist!) and we look forward to working with you again. We heard the call to return to Saraspa. Loud and Clear. We are working out the details, but rest assured that Project Appleseed will be coming to the NY capital region soon.
Bryan and Liam - what can I say? Thank you for crossing Lake Champlain to join us in New York. I hope you continue your Appleseed journey in New Hampshire this year, and I can't wait to cross paths with you again.
Dan - it was great to finally meet you. Thanks for hauling that signage. Glad you could make it - I know it was a tough journey for you, bud. Sgtmarine, Bob & Shari - thank you for making the trip as well, it was a pleasure meeting you in person.
Vince - unreal seated position, sir!! I applaud your positive attitude with the holdover on Morgan's Shingle at 125 yards - I wanted you to ring that steel so bad. We tried our best. It was great having you with us - I hope you return for another Project Appleseed, and I hope I'm the Shoot Boss who gets to award your Rifleman patch.
Last, but not least - thank you to the incredible team of Appleseed volunteers who crossed state lines and traveled many hours to ensure that Liberty retains a strong foothold in the mountains of New York State. 300berg, we could not have done this without you, bro. This was only chapter one! Hawkman - knocking out your PC1+PC2, and a passionate Sam Whittemore story to boot. Nicely done, my friend. Yogini - I admire you for sharing history at your first event as a Blue Hat. I know some cadre here in Michigan who would have been quite proud to hear your Elizabeth Zane. This will be remembered as an important event for many of us, and I couldn't be happier with this crew that made it happen.

Thank you to the entire team at CFGC for your hospitality - this was the first time any club has offered to grill lunch for one of my events, and it was a welcome reprieve from my typical fuel for shoots. I think I speak for everyone when I say we felt right at home there. Thank you.
We WILL be coming back to the Adirondacks next year - the weekend of July 8th and 9th, 2023 has already been confirmed with the club. What a treat it will be to stretch our legs out to 100, 150, 200, 300, 400+ at Chesterfield Fish and Game Club. You guys have a real American treasure up there. Gorgeous range and great people! Be proud, live free.

This was a seriously cool range, and I look forward to the rimfire KD at it next year.
We had an awesome time! Travis and his crew were excellent teachers and very passionate about the history and skills they were teaching.
It was a beautiful weekend and an excellent rifle range. Can't wait to participate in future events!
yogini,
It was a pleasure meeting you at the Rimfire Sporter event at Camp Perry a few weeks ago. Looks like this was a great event. Keep up the good work. O0
What a great time at a phenomenal range with such a gorgeous backdrop of the Adirondacks! All the instructors were very nice and super helpful. It was awesome to meet such fantastic riflemen. Looking forward to attending another event this October in Littleton,NH. Perhaps we'll see some familiar faces there.
