Title: Memphis, TN AAR May 28-29, 2022
Post by: Rustygun on June 02, 2022, 10:16:31 PM
A mighty fine Appleseed at Memphis Sport Shooting Assoc last weekend. We had an eager group of shooters ranging in age from 9 to 69 and made to order weather. The MSSA takes care of us at the club there and we really appreciate it. The Saturday morning red coat showed we had some shooters and plenty of room for improvement as well. We got to work and it wasn't long before the shooters were producing some respectable groups. We had a fine cadre of Instructors including Captain from Parts Unknown and Old Navy Doc from Nashville. Our new Orange Hats did a great job as well. When Sunday rolled around we had everyone dialed in and as the day progressed we saw even more improvement with two Riflemen and several shooters who were very close!

Our youth shooters were a joy on the line. Super safe and attentive.

A really great group of shooters to work with. Several will get their patch at their second event no doubt

A special shout out to the Mid South Riflemen who helped set up and tear down. They are a huge blessing esp on Sunday afternoon when its getting
late and folks are tired. The had they truck loaded and the range squared away in record time.

And thanks to Captain and Old Navy Doc for making the trek to Memphis to help out. Made a big difference

Can't wait for the next event in September

Congratulations to Rusty Gun for running a great event. The student body was wide ranging in skills and age, but the COF was custom tailored on the fly to provide an optimal educational experience.

The two Orange Hats, 901 Gun and Maverick, were excellent performing their teaching and tasks and will make fine Red Hats.

Thanks to Captain for his expertise. We are very blessed to have this relationship with our Arkansas neighbors.

What a great Appleseed event, or rather, another great Appleseed event! Rusty Gun did a superb job in running a safe, educational, and productive marksmanship event. Plus, it was a lot of fun! The cadre did a first class job in teaching us Revolutionary War history, focusing primarily on the courage and gallantry of the Minutemen who provided our great nation a cherished legacy of marksmen who valued freedom over tyranny. RustyGun, Old Navy Doc, and Captain were superb in teaching us those lessons. Kristi and Alan did great jobs keeping the line safe and fun. Any Appleseed event is a great family event and this event was no exception. Kudos to everyone for making it a great way to spend a weekend! And thus the minutemens' legacy continues!
