We had an awesome first pistol clinic at Fulton County Sportsman Club for Patriot's Weekend!
We had a mix of returning pistol students and first time pistol students, everyone had attended a rifle event in the past. We even managed two border raiders, one from Michigan and one from Illinois.
The weather was very warm for April in Northwest Ohio. Pretty much everyone was little crispy after Saturday from the sun.
Saturday started off showing promising results on the red coat target with 1 student clearing the AM target! After teaching fundamentals and getting in some practice, we ended Saturday completing 2 PQT's. We ended the first PQT with Rich re-qualifying with a 220 and Dave qualifying for a first time with a 220! The second PQT both followed up their Pistoleerâ„¢ scores with a 228 (yes, the both had the same score on each PQT!). Mark was knocking on the door with a 209! We had 2 newer shooters that were continuing to work hard on their fundamentals.
Sunday showed more improvement. Rich continued to re-qualify topping out the day at 236! Dave was close to scoring again with a centerfire pistol but was just shy. Mark came close again but plans on returning for another event. Our new newer shooters Marilyn and Rick continued focusing on the fundamentals throughout the day. We ended Sunday with Dave and Mark clearing the redcoat! Well done!
Thank you to the students for coming out! Thank you Headhunter, Bailey, and Third Degree for helping out!
Thank you to the Fulton County Sportsman Club for hosting us! We're looking forward to our next event!
