It was an awesome weekend for Liberty at Creek's Edge Farm in Chattanooga. The morning sun quickly warmed up the shooters. After Corgi Mom's telling of the 1st Strike, the firehose of instruction started. The shooters soaked up the instruction. Gator0246 triggered everyone's emotions with his telling of the 2nd Strike.
After lunch, the wind picked up and tossed a couple of pop-up shelters into the air. After some staking and tieing down the COF continued. Overmountian's telling of the 3rd strike rounded out Saturday's history. Luckily the time monkey never found us and we managed to get two AQTs in. Three shooters, all of who had been at our March event shot a rifleman's score for the first time: Norm with a 211, Drew with 228 (with a red dot!!), and Lauren with a 216.
Sunday after a review, several more shooters decided to up their game to get the Patriot's Day Patch.
Lucas, a left-handed shooter, managed to requalify shooting a right-handed bolt gun with a 210, he then borrowed an iron-sighted rifle and shot a 212. His wife, Kayla had his scoped rifle and finally earned her patch with a 212 followed by a 215.
The Maximum Effort family all shot well, Lauren with her 216, Dad requaled for his special patch with a 225, Mom requalified with a 211 and after three 25M events, young Simon met his goal of qualifying distinguished with irons, with a 243. HUZZAH ( I do have orange hats for the rest of the family hint hint)
Overmountain's wife, Agent 186 finally got the monkey off her back and shot a 216. My favorite "blue person" is now an IIT, thanks for stepping up and taking an Orange Hat HUZZAH
The shoot boss shot a 221 doing the rifleman's dance without any zeroing, during the last AQT.
Luke and Trey, you guys came so close to qualifying, come back soon and get that patch.
The range owner's son and niece came out on Sunday to shoot again. Keep up the work and a patch is in your future. It is always great to get the youth on the line.
Many thanks to the instructors and our range hosts that made this such an awesome shoot.
I'm glad I decided to drive down to Chattanooga on Saturday for this (despite having to wake up at 3 am!). I had a great time and enjoyed meeting new people. The pictures I took from this event are below. Sorry that there are so many, but there were just too many good ones to choose from. Please feel free to save whatever you like, but if you'd like a full-sized version of any, please contact me!

We also had a local news outlet join us on the line for a while in the morning. I handed my camera off to Maximum Effort's wife for a bit so that I could join them on the line. I must confess, I'm not used to seeing myself in pictures anymore, especially on my own camera.

What a group of shooters . . . I think Appleseed is going to run out of Rifleman patches at this rate!
What a great looking event. I love to see instructors where they're supposed to be, down on the mats with shooters. I also like the guy who I assume is the NewsTV 12 cameraman down on the mat as well. ;D
Great job Cleveland. HUZZAH!

A few more from a fantastic and indelible weekend!
1. Simon continues to impress us all with his ongoing improvements. Distinguished with irons!
2. A proud family, who know very well what they are about! They have all qualified, and continue to encourage each other to strive for more!
3 & 4. "A Rifleman persists." We all know this to be true, and many of us have fought the battle associated with earning this patch. I have the honor and privilege of being married to this particular, FORMER Blue Hat, who fought hard so many times to achieve this Rifleman goal. I could not be more proud of her (regardless of the patch). However, what a special weekend to qualify! She then accepted another big bucket by taking an Orange Hat! :1luvu

Yes, both he and his wife got down with me and shot five rounds at a redcoat target. They did pretty well, considering all I told them was how to hold the rifle! I hope they consider coming back for a full weekend. They were certainly invited!
Sounds like a great event!
And congratulations Agent186 for stepping up! O0
Congratulations Agent 186 !!!!
Congratulations, Agent 186, on your Rifleman's score and accepting an Orange hat! What a terrific weekend for you!
It was such a great event! I'm sorry I missed the second day, but I'm so proud of Lauren, Agent186, Kayla, and Norm! Way to persist, y'all! Your super cool patches are well deserved! Huzzah!
Looking forward to our next event!
