AAR to follow...
The Quarryville cadre hosted 14 students this past weekend. SLCFSA provided their 100 yard rifle range to learn rifle marksmanship, and the actual history of April 19th, 1775.
I will let the pics show the progress..
PIC.
Andy with his RIFLEMAN worthy target!
PIC.
Andy with another qualifying target. Yes, I really get into this!
PIC.
Bruce with a qualifying target.
PIC.
Jack with his RIFLEMAN qualifying target, and a proud papa, Wickedworx, presenting the patch. This young man is one hell of a good rifle shooter, and an overall great guy!
I fully expect to see him on an Olympic or service shooting team in the future....
PIC.
Alex with his qualifying target. That special April 19th RIFLEMAN patch will sure look good on his shooting jacket!
PIC.
Alex' father, Richard, with his qualifying target. This father/son duo are AQT-slaying machines!
PIC.
The students. And 6 cleared redcoats!
PIC.
Bruce with another RIFLEMAN patch!

Richard with another RIFLEMAN patch!
PIC.
The partial firing line, defying gravity.
Apparently, for RIFLEMEN, gravity is an optional thing!
PIC.
Alex with a cleared redcoat target. That PA 1st. regiment patch is a coveted accoutrement.
DOMARI NOLO!
PIC.
Bruce with his cleared redcoat. HITS COUNT!
PIC.
Allison with her cleared redcoat. And she did it with a bolt gun, breaking position and re-establishing NPOA each time. Her Sunday pm redcoat had groups of 3 shots so close together, they mainly appeared as one ragged hole in each bell!
PIC.
Gravity restored!
The partial firing line. That's BBQ_Bandit, reinforcing that good seated position, and extolling the virtues of a TIGHT SLING! BBQ_Bandit passed his IIT-3 PC this weekend.
He will be wearing a red hat, soon!
Congratulations!
Alex & I had a great time shooting. We will see you again in June. :snipersmi
Thanks, Rich!
Can't wait to see the two of you again!
Allison and I had a great time as well. She went from, "What the ( :-X) did you sign me up for?!" to "Let's go to the September class," in a span of two days. That's a credit to you guys and your great patience and expert instruction. See you all in a few months.
- Bruce
I'm so glad!
And we would be honored to have both of you back!
I can foresee Allison with that RIFLEMAN patch, and soon!

Carlo:
Despite the weather challenges, my 3rd Appleseed this past April was a memorable experience and a great refresher on precision rifle shooting. You and the crew did a fantastic job at hosting and training the class. The crew was very good: supportive, paid lots of attention to details and I felt safe and secure at all times. I enjoyed spending time with like minded people all there to learn and improve their rifle shooting. And its always good for all of us to remember our heritage and pay homage to all those who made sacrifices for our freedoms.
I really wanted to repeat my Rifleman score from 12 years prior, but my age, lack of flexibility, and a new .22 with a scope I think was mounted too high that also started to become a jam-o-matic all conspired against me. Poor excuses, since even with all that, I had a few good runs where I COULD have made the grade.
Anyway, thanks for giving so much of your time and energy to the shooters you teach. You're an outstanding instructor and a credit to the shooting sports and the Quarryville community. And many thanks to Tom, Bob and Dave for doing the same and being our 'mother hens' at the line.
I'm practicing Redcoats and AQTs and working in my equipment more ... I will return and leave with my 2nd patch! Attached my 1st attempts since lowering my scope.
Best Regards, Tim K.
