With a more than full line, we were a little behind the 8-ball with the availability of instructors. Many of our usual instructors were tied up with other shoots or personal issues. We were bailed out by several instructors willing to drive hours to help make this shoot happen.
We took the shoot as slowly as necessary to assure a good result. We got all three strikes in on, but we didn't shoot an AQT until Sunday. All good.
The group of students was great. They were very attentive and the Hits Count targets demonstrated improvement. We minted three riflemen, two of which were requals.
We also found several folks that want to explore taking an orange hat. We were also approached by two different students who wanted to explore private AS events.
All in all, the shoot went off without a hitch. The experience was marred by some unfortunate commentary from some instructors.
