Title: .72 lead balls
Post by: Mark Davis on November 20, 2021, 10:19:54 AM
I am cleaning my reloading room.
Found 9 lbs of these cast lead balls.
I will ship them free of charge to an active instructor who can use them.

I'd love to have a few to share with the WA folks.

Do you have a brown bess?
If you just want a couple for history talk to Brad P7. I sent him some a while back.
I just want to make one shipment, if you have the bess, I will send the balls.

I have a Pedersoli Bess.  I'd be happy to take them.

I also have a Pedersoli bess. it has a true 11 gauge bore (0.751). it uses a 0.735 ball, with a patch of cotton flannel.  but, I cast my own.
The Japanese made besses have a 0.735 bore and could use the smaller ball.
Those balls would also work well in a 12 gauge with a thin patch.
